Power stilts
Material: wood, lacquer
After the experience with the underwater stilts, a change of medium was called for. The stilts returned from the water to the land and evolved into stilts that could fly: power stilts. As they rise into the sky they in turn develop new formal attributes: motors, tanks, spoilers and control units. These power stilts are metaphors for the dream of flying. Their take-off is parallel to that of the rocket backpacks that we know from old Hollywood movies, which have long since become reality. Where would one dare to make an attempt at flying, if stilts really could fly? In the kind of place where people feel at least a little closer to the heavens than in the city. On a dirt track in the middle of nowhere. A man who goes for walks there regularly dared to give it a try.
